President Harutyunyan instructed to terminate the construction of buildings not complying with the capital’s general image

On 15 July Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan convened a working consultation on the elaboration of Stepanakert master plan and the construction works being carried out in the capital under private investment programs.
President Harutyunyan highlighted the necessity of studies on the development of the capital's master plan and discussions between the concerned bodies on the issue, stressing that this process should not hinder the realization of large-scale housing projects in the capital.
Mayor of Stepanakert David Sargsyan informed that all the materials and documents needed for the elaboration of the master plan had been provided to the architects responsible for the work.
During the consultation reference was made to the private construction works underway in Stepanakert based on previously issued permissions, as well as issues of maintaining and increasing green zones. The Head of the State instructed to terminate the construction of a number of buildings not complying with the city's general image until the elaboration of the capital's new master plan and to consider the issue of dismantling them later.
Arayik Harutyunyan underscored that the construction of any new object in the capital must comply with the draft master plan being under elaboration.
Artsakh Republic Security Council Secretary Samvel Babayan, Minister of Municipal Engineering Aram Sargsyan and other officials partook in the consultation.
