A TIME OF PAINFUL HEROISM

A young man named Edgar Tamaryan living in Germany, who has about 4,000 followers on one of the social networks, made a post a few days ago, commenting on the humanitarian situation in Artsakh in his own way. He is surprised that the people in Artsakh are upset by the lack of gas supply, giving an example of brave Europeans, who, realizing that they are at war with Russia, are not dissatisfied with the rise in the price of sunflower oil. If the young man writes in a rather literate Armenian, then he left Armenia not so long ago and in Germany, probably, at best, he is engaged in some social work with a meek and humble attitude. Of course, this boy is not the only one who left the homeland with the expectation of a better life; this young man went to school in his homeland, studied the history and literature of his people, He graduated from a university and did only one thing in the whole course of his studies: everything is wrong in the homeland, believing in European values can only be a salvation for our Armenians. The young man who identifies the aggravation of the last month in Artsakh and the problem of oil in Europe, by and large, is not so guilty. It is no secret that the generation living in independent Armenia had to study the history of the modern period of the Armenian people as a result of a revision almost every five years, and here the decisive factor was the "political orientation" of the teacher. It is possible that Edgar's teachers even told him that when we found ourselves in a completely desperate situation during the first Artsakh war, Armenia, many young people from the Diaspora and Artsakh have formed suicide squads, fought in the most difficult and seemingly unreal parts of Artsakh, had one homeland and one enemy, and for that they won a victory for their children. It is possible, of course, but for many of us that heroism is useless if there is no permanent safe and soft life as a result. It is terrifying that a young man living in Europe made a lecture in the days when his peers often reveal the meaning of the word "heroism" to us, jumping to the front line, when the enemy once again launches the most disgusting provocations, unmistakably targeting our chosen boys . Ararat Tevosyan, a 32 years old boy, who has returned from Russia in 2020, is one of our last heroes: How long would he have to live, get married, have children? He was indeed a chosen boy, a kind of rebellious Tsoretsi, those of Tsoretsi who returned to the ruined village after the village had twice fallen into the hands of the enemy and re-liberated in the first war and tried to give breathe to it. Six families lived in the village of the hero's grandparents from the former population of several hundred. The first to return and one of those who lived in the village for 44 days were the parents of Ararat. Smbat Abrahamyan, a Moscow resident with roots from the village of Tsor in Hadrut, had started an incredible program to restore the village. We went to the village in June. Ararat's father, Vagif Tevosyan, represented his economy, which had already reached an impressive size. “Half of Hadrut demands the cheese made by my wife,” he said. He believed that the village would be reborn, that the youth would return, including his son ...  In the summer of 2020 , Ararat returned to Hadrut to settle some documentary issues, for some reason he was in no hurry to leave, so he stayed and took part in the war. After losing Hadrut, his parents stayed in Armenia, he not only stayed in Artsakh, but also joined the regular army as a contract soldier. Nobody forced him to hurry to the front line, he sat a car going to the front line, because the beginning of the liberation of Hadrut would start by the courage of boys like him.  Immediately after the war, I was talking to a one of the boys who had fought in Hadrut He advised me:”Write about Ararat, he was well settled in Russia, but he came here and now he tells us, that none of us should leave Artsakh.” Then he called and gave me the phone, Ararat listened to me carefully, then he said “ We will talk, when Hadrut is ours again...”
